Each and every PCCS family is expected to serve, at least once, on either the traffic patrol or playground safety patrol during the school year.  Click on the picture below to download the file which contains the traffic and playground safety patrol duty rosters.  Find out which week you are on safety patrol.  Make sure to check both sheets for your name.  If there are any questions, please send us an email.  

SAFETY PATROL DUTIES include

Arrive at 8:45AM and before the school starts, control vehicle traffic entering/leaving the parking lot to allow children to cross safely.  Also make sure the students do not walk behind cars that might be backing up.

During Recess (9:55 - 10:05), make sure the playground is clear of strangers and the children are playing safely.  In addition, make sure no children wander off of school campus.

When school ends at 11:00AM, control vehicle traffic entering/exiting the parking lot to allow children to cross safely.  Make sure the students do not walk behind cars that might be backing up.  

PLAYGROUND SAFETY PATROL DUTIES include

Arrive at 9:45AM and check-in at the PCCS Office.

Ring the Recess Bell by walking outside of the classroom areas

Before, During and After Recess (9:55 - 10:05), please make sure the students do not run wildly to/from playground.  Slow down those kids who may be playing out-of-control.

Make sure playground is clear of strangers.

Make sure no children wander off of school campus.

Parents who are not assigned to any safety patrol duties will be assigned to help set-up and clean-up jobs during PCCS School functions including Chinese New Year's Performance and Annual Carnival Fundraiser Events.  

PYP parents are not required to perform safety patrol or playground duties since they are only on campus for 55 minutes and do not span the recess period.  However, they will be asked to help out around the PCCS Office at least once during the school year.  You will be contacted.
